Directions

FROM ALBANY OR CANADA:

  • Take I-87 ( The Northway ) to Exit 28.
  • Go 1/2 mile on Route 74.
  • At the Schroon River, go to On The River
    Campgrounds     to register BEFORE you
    enter the grounds.
  • REMEMBER YOU MUST HAVE A PASS.

FROM TICONDEROGA:

  • Take route 74 West.
  • At the Schroon River, go to On The River
    Campgrounds     to register BEFORE you
    enter the grounds.
  • REMEMBER YOU MUST HAVE A PASS.

 

ON ARRIVAL:
When checking in at On The River Campgrounds, you MUST inform them that you are checking in for Rainbow Woods.

You must be on the grounds prior to 9:00 PM to register and set up your campsite. If you arrive after 9:00 PM you will need to set up in the field behind the store in the main campground at On The River. We will no longer allow the set up of tents or RVs after 9:00 PM as it is disruptive to those already set up and relaxing.
